Wartime Building Near Tempsford Airfield |
Built during the war to look like an old farm
building, this barn was used to store all the equipment to be used by agents in
enemy territory. Now contains touching memorials to some of the 997 agents who flew
out from Tempsford Airfield many of whom lost their lives. N.B. Although this is located near a footpath the actual barn is on private property and prior permission is needed to visit. See www.tempsford.20m.com for further details. |
